NANCY MERRILL (PENELOPE, CAPTAIN BENJAMIN MERILL and JEMIMA SMITH) was born 23 May 1779 in Randolph County, North Carolina, and died 25 Jan 1825 in Merrellsville, Marion County, Missouri.  She married DAVID CRUM Abt. 1809.  He was born 1774 in lived in Missouri.

About 1827, Nancy Crumm and her family started a wagon train migration West, stopped in Missouri, and made a settlement called Merrellsville, which we believe was in Marion County Missouri.
