PATRICK HENRY MERRILL (JAMES JOSEPH MERRELL, CHARLES MERRILL, CAPTAIN BENJAMIN MERRILL and JEMIMA SMITH) was born Abt. 1829 in Georgia, and died 28 Mar 1862 in Richmond, Virginia.  He married REBECCA LNU.  She was born Abt. 1823 in Alabama.

Patrick H. Merrill, Grantee of Carroll County, GA, bought from Joseph Sentell, Grantor of Carroll County, GA, on February 23, 1850 (deed was filed on February 23, 1850), 202 1/2 acres, for $800.00, Land Lot 95 in District 4, recorded in Warranty Deed Book F, Page 389.

 

P. H. Merrill, Grantor of Carroll County, GA, sold to G. B. McDonald, Et Al, Grantee of Heard County, GA, on October 26, 1850 (deed was filed on November 10, 1851), 202 1/2 acres, for $850.00, Land Lot 95 in District 4, recorded in Warranty Deed Book F, Page 612.

 

1850 Carroll County Census. There are no page numbers that I can see, but it is in Carroll County, Georgia, Eleven Division, on Image 23 of 197 at Ancestry.com' census subscription. I was looking at the Cosper families on that page, and saw him down the page from them.
